Who we are

We decide why and how personal data collected through this website is used, so we are responsible for it. Two sets of law apply: the Kenya Data Protection Act 2019 and the UK GDPR with the Data Protection Act 2018.

Information you give us

You give us personal data when you fill in one of our forms or message us on WhatsApp.

  • **Project brief form (Contact page):** your name, email address, company, the services you want, budget range, timeline and message. Your phone number is optional.
  • **Model application form:** your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or age group, location, measurements and appearance details, skills, photos, social media handle and a record of your consent. If you are under 18, we also need the name, email address and consent of a parent or guardian.
  • **Equipment rental enquiry:** your name, email address, phone number, the item you want, your dates, whether you want it with or without a pilot and your message.
  • **Newsletter signup:** your email address.
  • **WhatsApp messages:** our phone number opens a WhatsApp chat with us. When you message us, we receive your WhatsApp name, your phone number and anything you send, such as messages, photos or files.

Information collected when you browse

The site itself sets no cookies for visitors. A few things still happen when you visit:

  • **Fonts:** our fonts load from Adobe Fonts. Adobe's servers receive your IP address and browser details so they can send the fonts. Adobe Fonts sets no cookies.
  • **Visitor statistics:** we count visits using Independent Analytics (cookieless). It is first-party, sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses.
  • **Session storage:** your browser keeps two settings for this visit: whether the logo intro has played and a scroll preference. Both are deleted when you close the tab.
  • **Videos:** YouTube and Vimeo players load only when you press play. Those services may then set cookies.
  • **Maps:** map links open Google Maps in a new tab. We do not embed a map on the site.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • answer your project brief, equipment rental enquiry or WhatsApp message and talk to you about the work you want
  • review model applications and, if you join our model pool, consider you for projects
  • publish model profile details, but only with consent
  • send you our newsletter, if you sign up
  • understand how the site is used, through visitor statistics

Our lawful bases

The law requires a lawful basis for each use of personal data. Ours are:

  • **Project briefs, rental enquiries and WhatsApp messages:** taking steps you ask for before a possible contract and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
  • **Model applications and published profiles:** your consent and, if you are under 18, the consent of your parent or guardian.
  • **Newsletter:** your consent.
  • **Fonts and visitor statistics:** our legitimate interest in showing the site as designed and understanding how it is used.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing does not affect anything we did before.

Who we share it with

Project briefs and equipment rental enquiries are stored on the website in our Enquiries list, which only our staff can see. They are also emailed to our team.

These organisations also receive personal data:

  • Mailchimp, run by Intuit in the United States, which holds newsletter signups

If you press play on a video, follow a map link or message us on WhatsApp, YouTube, Vimeo, Google or WhatsApp handle your data under their own privacy policies.

International transfers

Some of these organisations are outside Kenya and the United Kingdom. Mailchimp is in the United States, so newsletter signups are transferred there. WhatsApp messages pass through WhatsApp's own servers, which may also be outside Kenya and the United Kingdom. Our website host is in [Country of the hosting servers].

How long we keep it

  • **Project briefs and equipment rental enquiries:** 24 months.
  • **WhatsApp messages:** 24 months, the same as other enquiries. You can ask us to delete our copy of a chat at any time.
  • **Model applications:** 12 months, then deleted. If you join our model pool, we keep your details for as long as you stay in it.
  • **Newsletter:** you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address at any time.
  • **Session storage:** deleted when you close the tab.

Young applicants

An application from someone under 18 must include the name, email address and consent of a parent or guardian. We publish model profile details only with consent. We never publish the name or exact age of anyone under 18.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have it corrected if it is wrong
  • have it deleted
  • object to how we use it
  • ask us to restrict how we use it
  • receive it in a portable format
  • withdraw your consent at any time
