What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. First-party cookies come from the site you are visiting. Third-party cookies come from other services whose content appears on the page.
Session storage is a similar feature of your browser. It is not a cookie. It is kept only for the tab you have open and is deleted when you close that tab.
Cookies on this site
Visitors get no cookies from this site. The only cookies we set are for our own staff, explained below.
Session storage
The site uses your browser's session storage for two settings:
- whether the logo intro has already played during this visit
- a scroll preference
Both are deleted when you close the tab.
Visitor statistics
We count visits using Independent Analytics (cookieless). It is first-party, sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses.
Third-party services
Some content on the site comes from other services. This is how each one works.
**Fonts.** Our fonts load from Adobe Fonts. When they load, Adobe's servers receive your IP address and browser details. Adobe Fonts sets no cookies.
**Videos.** Some pages show videos from YouTube or Vimeo. The video player loads only when you press play. Until you do, those services set no cookies through our pages. Once the player loads, YouTube or Vimeo may set cookies on your device. Their own cookie and privacy policies apply.
**Maps.** Map links open Google Maps in a new tab. We do not embed a map on the site. Once you are on Google Maps, Google's own policies apply.
Staff login
Staff who log in to manage the site get WordPress login cookies, which keep them signed in. Visitors do not get these cookies.
Managing cookies and storage
You can block or delete cookies and clear stored site data in your browser settings. Closing the tab also clears the session storage this site uses.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if the site's use of cookies or browser storage changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
